Kids Dancing!

My kids have 2 weeks of school off. So today, the kids and I had some fun dancing and getting rid of some energy. They told me not to put this on my blog but how could I not. Ha, Ha,!!!

They just finished their 1st quarter of school already. Yes, already. Time flys by! They both did really well the 1st quarter. This was Kate's 1st quarter of middle school and I remember how hard middle school was. It is so different than elementary school.

On Kate's report card, she got Social Studies A+, P.E. B+ (we have no idea why she got a B+, but Kate isn't very athletic), Keyboarding A+, Language Arts A, Reading A, Pre-Algebra C and Science B+. I thought she did pretty good. As far as the C in Pre-Algebra, I can't even do Algebra, so I was proud of her. Math isn't easy for her and she doesn't like her teacher. But she really tried hard. And she got a 3.4 GPA. Yeah Kate!

Kate & Lexie's Room

On Saturday, Jason and I finally redid the girls room. We moved here almost a year ago and I have been wanting to paint it ever since we moved in. They both wanted purple walls with pink accents. So we did it and I was so happy with how it turned out. We also made the girls beds into bunk beds. They can either be 2 twin beds or a bunk bed. So changing their beds into bunk beds, also made the room look different. We bought the bedroom set 3 years ago. When I saw them in the store I fell in love with the set because of the flexibity we have with the beds. It is so nice to have that option. The girls really feel like it is a new room that way. It also gave them so much more room than they had. Kate and Lexie really love their room. I am so glad. I am really happy with how it turned out and it is such a girly room just like my girls.

Pictures of family get together after Eddie's Funeral

This is Jason's sister's baby, Madelynn Elizabeth Lee. Isn't she cute. She is 6 months old. My kids love her.
Hi Lexie!!
I try to get pictures of the 3 of them together as much as I can. The get together was at Jason's parents house. They have a nice backyard so I had to get a couple of pictures of my kids together. Dillon really didn't want to, as you can tell. He has a fake smile. Such a BOY!!!

In Memory of Edward Hooley Jr.

Edward "Eddie" Joesph Hooley Jr., died Sept. 5, 2008. He was born May 11, 1952 in Tucson, Arizona. Eddie was Jason's dads brother. He was born with special needs. Everyone who knew Eddie, knew what a special guy he was. Eddie loved everyone and saw the good in all people. Eddie thought everyone was his friend. Eddie loved riding his bike. His bike meant the world to him. We hope he is up there right now riding and riding as fast as he can go with all those who love him. We will miss Eddie. Eddie made a difference in everyones lives who knew you. Heavenly Father put Eddie here on earth for a reason. We know one of those reasons is for us to be more greatful for what we have here on earth and for putting a smile on our faces.

One thing that I will always remember about Eddie is when Kaitlyn was born and he saw her for the first time. He was so excited to see her. And all he keep saying to me over and over, as he rocked back and forth with excitement was, "she's going to be o.k., she's going to be o.k." and said that with each child that I had. When Eddie said that, I wanted to just hug him and cry. Because him saying that, meant that my kids were not going to be like him, that they were going to be able to get married and have children of their own. He probably said that each time I saw him, up until my kids were about 2 years old. But Eddie should of known that we all wished that we were more like him. Because Eddie was a great person who loved everyone and saw the good in everyone.

I know Jason has many momories of Eddie growing up. Eddie made a difference in Jason's life and I know Eddie helped make Jason the great husband and father that he is today. We will miss you Eddie!!
