Piano playing

playing song a 1 week later

Kaitlyn's piano teacher gave her a challenging piece to learn because she was going through the piano books so fast. She has only been taking piano lessons for exactly 3 months in the video. The video above was a week before this one. She is doing so well.

My favortie Quote:

"Our first priority should go to spiritual learning. For us, reading the scriptures would come before reading history books. Prayer would come before memorizing those Spanish verbs. A temple recommend would be worth more than standing first in our graduating class. But it is also clear that spiritual learning would not replace our drive for secular learning. To keep spiritual learning in its proper place, we will have to make some hard choices of how we use our time. But there should never be a conscious choice to let the spiritual become secondary. Never. That will lead to tragedy. Remember, you are interested in education, not just for mortal life but for eternal life. When you see that reality clearly, you will put spiritual learning first and yet not slight the secular learning. In fact, you will work harder at your secular learning than you would without that spiritual vision." -Henry B. Eyring

Vintage Hair Bows

Kaitlyn and I were at Young Women's and our Bishop's wife came to teach the Young Women and us leaders how to make Vintage Hair Bows. Kailtyn and I had such a great time making them, so the next day, we went to the fabric store and bought cute material to make more. Kaitlyn made this pink one all by herself. She did a great job. Isn't it cute?

This is the 1st one she made with my help.
I made this one for Lexie. So cute!

Close up of that one. I've been busy making a few of these bows. Small ones and big ones. I even made my mom a pin. They are a lot of fun to make. I've had a lot of nice comments on them. I think I need to sell some and make some money.

Jason's New Job At General Mills

Jason thought he would bring home what he has to wear at work to show us......here he is posing. Pretty cute! We are so thankful that he is loving his new job. He really truly loves his new job and the people he works with. He's been working lots of crazy hours and we miss having him at home, but couldn't be happier that he is working after being unemployed for 8 months. This is a new career path for him, but he is liking the change. This week at work, he worked in the Betty Crocker plant, so he smelled like chocolate this week. Yummy!
