Demi Lovato and David Archuleta Concert & Meeting David Archuleta!

This all began with Kate winning tickets to a Demi Lovato concert through Tiger Beat magazine. Everyone once in a while Kate will buy the magazine with her babysitting money because she likes to read it and likes posters in it and hangs the posters on her wall. They also have contests in it and she asked me if she could enter. I said, "sure but don't be disappointed if you don't win." Well, guess what? She won!! She was so excited when she found out. She likes Demi Lovato but she was more excited when she found out that David Archuleta was going to be there and singing too. So the story continues...........

Picture of Kaitlyn after we were just asked if we wanted to meet David Archuleta! It was a total surprise. We were standing in line and a lady came up to us and said, Are you David fans?" We were like, "YES!" She said I have 2 backstage passes if you would like to meet him. We were SO excited!!! We were in a group of 11 when we met him. He was soooo nice, sweet, quiet, polite and we just loved him!!!

Me handing him the only paper I had in my purse and telling him what big fans we were of him and what a surprise this was to us and how grateful we were to meet him and loved him on American Idol and how much we loved him. Yes I am sure I sounded CRAZY!

Me telling him that we are LDS and he said," Oh, that is so cool!" He then wrote CTR on our paper. I then said to Kaitlyn, "aww, he wrote CTR." He just smiled. He was so quiet but so polite. Kaitlyn just stood there smiling! She was in shock!!!! For my Non-LDS friends, this means "Choose The Right"

This is the group we went with. The lady in the blue coat is from Radio Disney and she is the one who gave us backstage passes. She was soooo sweet and made us feel so special. We felt like we were Radio Disney winners like these other people, but we weren't.

I looked at Kaitlyn after David's concert was over and this is the face she made at me. She was so sad to see him leave! She had enjoyed seeing and meeting him.

And the reason why we were there....LOL! Demi Lovato!

She was good, but we were more excited to see David.

KSM is a new all girls band that opened for Demi and David. Kate really liked them, so we waited in line for 40 mins after the concert to get their autographed Cd for free and she got her picture taken with them. She was so excited! She looks like she could be part of their band. But Kate isn't so hard looking. She is beautiful inside and out.

Camping at Hogan Lake ~Well We Tried!!

As many of you know, our camping trip didn't go as planned. Not going to type all the details because everyone I know, knows the whole terrible story. But I am just so glad that Jason is better and I have my hubby back and so ready for life to be back to normal. Never want to go through that again. This picture was taken just a couple of hours before the mess started. The kids really want to go back camping. I think we are just going to put the tent up in our backyard and then go to a lake and fish and swim and spend the day together. Not in the mood to go camping for a while.

I can't even begin to tell you know much Lexie was excited to go camping. We camped in our backyard last summer, so it has been 2 years since we had actually been camping and she doesn't really remember. So this was like her first camping trip. Does she look like the "little camper", or what?

Our Silly Lilly!

She is so silly. She loves to get wet. Shih Tzu are not water dogs but Lilly is. She loves when the sprinklers come on and especially when the kids come outside to run with her. But even when the kids aren't outside to run through the sprinklers with her, she will run through them herself. It is so funny!

Happy 4th of July!!

I only got pictures of Lexie in her 4th of July outfit. Kaitlyn came home from Girls Camp around noon time and she was a mess. So dirty!! And Dillon wasn't interested in his picture taken. But Lexie looked sooooo cute. She loved her dress, as you can tell. We had a fun 4th! We were excited for Kate to come home and tell us all about her fun week at camp and then we came home and I started washing all of Kate's clothes from camp. Boy did she get dirty! Any other time, Kate doesn't like to be dirty! At all!! Then that night, some great friends of ours came over, The Gillingwaters, and watched the fireworks with us. We really loved having them over. What a great family! Really need to do it again soon! We all had a great day and loved watching the fireworks from our backyard.

Kaitlyn went to Girls Camp '09

I am so proud of Kaitlyn going to girls camp again this year. She thought this year was better than last year. She only called home once because she said she was homesick but she was fine. She was glad she stayed and ended up having a blast. She left on a Monday and came home on the Saturday, the 4th of July. I am so proud of her and thankful for the wonderful spiritual experience she gets from all the girls and the leaders.
