What Kids Say.........................

Yesterday, my mom came over and Lexie was reading all the names of the movies that she has to my mom. One of the movies was a Jesus movie. Except when Lexie says "Jesus", it comes out "Cheesus"! She has said that from the time when she first started to talk. So it reminded me of the blog that I posted last week about Lexie "Choosing The Right and not the Left"! So I had to put this on my blog too because I don't want to forget it.
We can say to Lexie, say "Jesus" and she says, "Jesus." I say, "good!!!" Then I say, "o.k. now say Jesus" and she says, "Cheesus". And she does it every time. She doesn't say any other words wrong and pronounces all her words correctly, but for some reason she doesn't say Jesus right. It is so funny and I know that Jesus can hear her and I am sure he has a good laugh about it. I know I do.

Choose The Right!!!

In my church, from the time that we are able to understand, we are taught to "Choose The Right". We sing songs about it in nursey and primary. We have lessons about it at church, taught it at home, see pictures of a shield with CTR on it and we know that that stands for "Choose The Right", and so on. It is just kind of like a motto to us to follow Heavenly Father's way.

So with that being said, I am sure we all have stories like this............About a year ago, Alexis said to me, "Mommy, "Choose The Right"! I said, "Very good Alexis, did you learn that in Primary"? She then replied, "Yes". Then she said, "Why doesn't Heavenly Father want us to choose the Left?" With everything I had I tried so hard not to laugh, but it was so cute. So of course, we had to talk about what "Choose the Right" meant, and that choosing the left has nothing to do with it. Unless you think that choosing the left is bad choices. Then of course we don't want to "Choose The Left"!

So this morning before be left for preschool she said to me, "make sure you don't choose the Left because that is BAD"! "Make sure you Choose The Right"! It reminded me what she had said to me a year ago and I had a good laugh this morning. I am always telling her sister, Kaitlyn to make good decisions whenever she is away from me. When Kate gets out of the car, I say, "make good choices". "Choose The Right"!!!

It's just so funny what kids say and think. Wow, to be a kid again!!!

Kate & My Niece Larissa

Larissa LOVES her cousin Kaitlyn, as you can tell. Larissa wants to be just like Kate. My mom picked Larissa and Kenzi up from preschool and brought them over to play today with my kids. They love coming over to play and my kids were really excited too. When my mom picked Larissa up from preschool, she told my mom that she wanted her to buy her some bows like cousin Kaitlyn has. My mom told me what she said and I told Larissa that I had a lot of ribbon if she would like some for her hair. She was so excited and so went and cut some ribbon so she can use them for bows. She was excited to have the same ribbons as cousin Kaitlyn. That is what she calls Kaitlyn. It is cute. So I told her that I would do her hair and put a ribbon in her hair. She thought her hair was so cute. She told Kaitlyn that she wanted to wear some of her lipstick. So Kate put some on her and I of course had to take a picture of them. They are 2 peas in a pod.

New Family Picture ...Taken May 2008

Here is an up to date picture of us taken in May at church. Kaitlyn's hair is shorter now, but I really like her hair cut shorter. She looks so grown up. My hair was pulled back that day. I didn't know we were going to have our picture taken at church, but a lady from church takes a picture of all girls that turn 12 with their families. And she pulled us aside and took our picture. I was so excited when I saw it. I really liked the picture. We don't have that many pictures of all of us together because I am always the one taking pictures and I am hardly ever in any the pictures.

My Grandma~Lalla Monzell Clements

This picture was taken on my Grandma's 77th Birthday, Aug. 8, 1999. One month before she died. This is a picture of Kaitlyn, age 3, and my mom's dog Lacey. You can see how much she loved Kate.
I am typing this for my daughter Kaitlyn just so she knows how much she was loved by her Great Grandmother, Nanny, which Kate called her. Today would of been my grandma's 86th Birthday. My grandma was my best friend. We were very, very close. She died 9 years ago. Wow, time goes by too fast. It makes me so sad that I missed out seeing her enjoy her grandchildren. Kate was 3 years old and I was 3 months pregnant with Dillon when she died. She would of loved my kids. She loved Kaitlyn so much. Here is how much she loved Kaitlyn........................

My grandma was sick for just a few short weeks before she died. It was wonderful that she didn't have to suffer for very long. She was only in the hospital for just a few short days, but all she wanted to do was to go home because she missed seeing Kaitlyn. My grandma was too sick for Kaitlyn to see her in the hospital and she didn't want Kaitlyn to see her in the hospital. But my grandma, the stubborn lady that she was, didn't care how sick she was because it was making her sicker not being able to see Kaitlyn. My grandma was only home for a day or two before having to go back to the hospital and died a day or two later. But she died much happier knowing that she was able to spend her last days at home with Kaitlyn.

Not many of us get to experience that kind of love from a grandparent and I am so blessed that Kaitlyn and I had that love from her. She pretty much raised me along with my mom. My mom was a single mom and thank goodness for my grandma's help in raising my brother and I. I know Kaitlyn doesn't remember her very much but I hope she will always know how much she was loved by her. So please listen to the song on my playlist titled, "My Angel", because that is what she is, My Angel, and the song totally fits how I feel about her and how my life was like with her. I miss her very much.

Lexie's 1st Day Of Preschool

This morning my baby started Preschool. (Sniff, Sniff) She was really excited, but nervous. She said that she didn't know any of her friends names. Even though she hasn't ever seen them before, but she still referred to them as her friends. Which I thought was really cute. I told her that I would help her meet some girls this morning before I left.
When we got there, she did o.k. until she saw other kids that were sad. I knew 2 other moms that were there, so I introduced her to their daughters. I told her I had to go and she started crying. So, I stayed for awhile because she didn't want me to leave. After about an hour, I told her that I had to go and she got tears in her eyes again, but then all of a sudden, she said it was o.k. for me to leave. So I hope she is doing o.k. I haven't gotten a phone call yet saying that she isn't o.k.
I took these pictures of Lexie this morning before we left to go to preschool. I let her pick what she wanted to wear this morning to school. I wanted her to have that choice, to make her feel big. So, I told her that I wanted to take a picture of her for her 1st day of preschool. Well the model that she is, had to have a few pictures taken of herself and so she had to pose. She made up her own poses. I totally didn't tell her to pose in any of these pictures. She also kept wanting me to take pictures of her. I told my mom that she was the tallest in her class (of course) and my mom said because she is going to be a model. Then I had to tell my mom about what she did this morning with me taking these pictures. Lexie thought she was a model this morning. She loves posing and having her pictures taken. She is such a "Ham"!
And also the Tooth Fairy came last night and brought her a dollar. She was so excited this morning when she woke up and saw what she had gotten. Also when she went to bed last night, she decided that she wanted to leave the tooth under her pillow. She decided that it wasn't that scary for the Tooth Fairy to come in her room when she was sleeping to bring her some money. She said that she wants to buy water balloons with the money because 2 months ago she remembers that Dillon bought water balloons with his dollar. She doesn't forget anything.

Lexie lost her 1st tooth at 4 1/2 years old!!!!!!

Yes she lost her 1st tooth this morning. She is only 4 1/2 years old too. Yes she is a little young to be loosing her 1st tooth, but she got her 1st tooth when she was really young too. She was 4 months old when she got her 1st tooth.
She was so brave. Her tooth has been loose for about 3 weeks. Yesterday, I noticed that it was so loose and just barely attached. She didn't want me to take it out yesterday, but this morning I told her that we had to take it out before we went to church because it was probably going to fall out at church. Also her 1st day of preschool is tomorrow and I didn't want it falling out there either. It took one pull and it was out. She was so happy.
This is the pillow that her sister and brother used to put their teeth in when they lost their teeth. My mom bought it for Kaitlyn when she was loosing all her teeth. It says, Dear Tooth Fairy, Please looked under the big star for my tooth. Thanks.
She says that she doesn't want to put the pillow under her pillow tonight for the Tooth Fairy because she is afraid of the Tooth Fairy coming in her room when she is sleeping. So we are going to put the pillow on the fireplace tonight for the Tooth Fairy to find her tooth there.
