Thanksgiving Day 2009

Look, we made our playroom into a dining room. Jason made these great tables for us so that everyone could sit together for Thanksgiving. I LOVE THESE TABLES. So great being married to a handyman.

Smile Dillon! Eating the yummy food. Check out the T.V. behind Dillon. I got this DVD in the dollar section at Target. It plays Christmas music and also you can see the roaring fire, which looks so real, and it makes a popping sound like the crackling fire. It is the best dollar I have ever spent! This picture doesn't do it justice. We were all amazed by this DVD!

I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. This has been a really rough year, but what has gotten me through this year is all these wonderful people at this table and also I have so much to be thankful for. I am so blessed. I am glad we got to have Thanksgiving in Jason's grandparents home. Sorry they aren't here to have Thanksgiving with us, but I know how proud they are knowing we had Thanksgiving in their home. And boy are us Hooley's and mom are some great cooks. We should open a restaurant. haha

Kaitlyn's leaf. I sent the kids outside to collect leaves. Then they chose a leaf they really liked and put the leaf under the paper and then rubbed a crayon on the leaf. It was a lot of fun to see the different vains in the leaves.

We had a great time with our Thanksgiving decorations. The kids did such a great job and were so proud of what they did.

Then we put them on the window so everyone could see what they made on Thanksgiving day. They added a great festive feeling to our Thanksgiving dinner! Thanks kids!

Lexie's 6th Birthday Party

My beautiful baby girl Alexis Dee Hooley turned 6 years old. I can't believe it. She is such a sweet and beautiful girl. When she was born, she had these big beautiful eyes, as you can see from the pictures above. I was always stopped in the stores by everyone saying, "Look at her eyes!" She is such a good girl. She is so smart. She loves to read and reads so well. She started to read when she was 4 1/2 years old. Looking back at when she was 2 and was discovering books, I remember her siting still for such a long time, looking through books by herself and with me too. My favorite thing about Lexie, is that she hums all the time. She hums while doing her school work, on the computer, playing and when she is laying in her bed trying to go to sleep. She hums herself to sleep every night. It is the sweetest sound. She does it so quiet and it is just so sweet to hear. Such a happy little girl. Her turning 6 has been really hard on me. My baby is 6 and that means she is no longer a baby. But she will always be my baby girl!

Nana gave her balloons with all her favorite colors on them. She loved them. Added a great touch to the party.
