12 Year Membership of the Local Carpenters Union 1618

Jason has been a cabinet maker for 15 years now. He has been in the union for 12 years. We went to a union picnic in Elk Grove on Saturday and had great food, kids played, Jason got his 10 year union pin and won a 9 inch portable DVD player. Kaitlyn was hoping we would win the DVD player because ours broke 2 years ago and the kids love watching movies in the car when we go on vacation and in our tent when we go on camping. We really had a lot of fun. The kids cheered when Jason's number was called for the drawing. It was cute.

Dillon Made A Tool Box At Cub Scout Day Camp

Dillon holding his tool box that he made at Cub Scout Day Camp. He LOVED camp. He was bummed when it was over. It was for 3 days. A boys dream! He had the best time. Jason helped out all 3 of those days and said that Dillon always had a smile and was having a great time. But he always smiles anyways. He is such a good boy. So blessed. He did such a good job on it. He is so proud of it, as you can see. Jason gave him some goggles for working. He is so cute.
He was so proud of the tool box he made. Jason told him that he would give him some of his tools to put in there for him to have. Dillon was SO excited. He loves working with his hands and making things. Makes him feel grown up.
His dad gave him a sanding block so he wanted to do some sanding on his tool box.
Workin' away just like his dad. Like Father Like Son!

Jason Turns 35!

On June 5, was Jason's 35th birthday. When he got home from work, we went bowling, out to dinner to Chili's, visited with family and they gave Jason presents, then birthday cake real quick because it was late and Lexie's bedtime. We had a lot of fun celebrating his birthday. Happy Birthday My HUNNY!

Go Dillon!
Everytime after Lexie would throw the bowling ball she would do a twirl. It was so cute. She is such a girl. I love it. This is an action shot of her doing a Twirl.

Happy 13th Birthday Kaitlyn!!!

Wow, can this be real? Is she really a teenager? I can't believe it!! Seems like it was just yesterday when I was holding her in my arms and bringing her home from the hospital. She was the smallest baby I had ever seen. Everyone was afraid to hold her, but not me, she fit perfectly in my arms. Weighing only 5 lbs. 6 oz. when I brought her home. I remember holding her after I had her, looking at her and thinking, I should cherish that moment of her being little because I knew she would soon be a teenager. And now the day has come, already!! I knew it would only last a short while...knowing one day I wouldn't be able to hold her. I look at her now and think she is the most beautiful girl ever. Inside and out. How could I be her mom? How lucky I am that Heavenly Father blessed me with her. I know she is mine for a reason. My dreams for her are for her to have an eternal marriage, love life and become a mother so she can love her babies as much as I love her. A special THANK YOU to Grand Stan and Nana, Uncle Jay and Annie, Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Dee and Uncle Ken for putting money towards Kaitlyn's present and we got her Rock Band 2 for the Wii. She loves it. Thanks Again!

Kaitlyn's 13th Birthday Party With Her Friends!

Kaitlyn had a party with her friends and she thought of the idea of everyone coming dressed as Rock Stars and then play Rock Band 2 on the Wii. They had the best time. They had a sleepover and didn't go to bed until around 5:00ish. I heard laughing all night long. They danced, sang, played Rock Band 2, watched a movie and just had the best time. I am so glad! Taylor and Sariah came, they go to our church. Holly lives across the street. Kaitlyn looked so cute in her rock star outfit Nana bought her. Who knew how cute she would look like with pink highlights. Here are some great pictures from the sleepover.

~My Beautiful Daughter Kaitlyn~

I am so proud of how beautiful she is inside and out. She really is growing up so fast and will soon be a teenager. I hope she will always remember that I just want what is best for her. These next couple of years of being a teenager aren't going to be easy but with me by her side, I hope we can get through the years together. I hope she always knows to turn to her Father in Heaven for the hard times too. I know that without him I wouldn't be where I am today. I hope this journey we are taking through homeschooling will build her testimony of the gospel and she will feel the Lords love he has for her. Everything I do I do it for her and I always will. Together with the Lords help we will get through the next couple of years together.

SPRING BREAK!!!

What does one do when they have a 2 long week break from all the normal demands of life? Well, for me it has been sleeping in to 7:30 a.m. instead of 6:00 a.m. (Yeah Me!), organizing, playing catch up on housework, planning my homeschooling lessons, spending time with my kids, went to the zoo, enjoying 70 degree weather, yard work, played basketball with my son (he is getting good. He is surprised at how well I played, for being old he said), gave my son a family birthday party, updating my blog, reconnecting with long lost friends on facebook (where did 15 years go?), talking to my BFF Misty in Utah (sniff, sniff, I miss her), being a mom and wife, talking to my mom on the phone, shopping and just being there for my family. Boy, have I enjoyed my 2 weeks off. Monday starts back to the normal demands of life but I LOVE IT!

Dillon Is A Bear In Scouts Now!

Last night was a scout pack meeting and Dillon got his wolf badge in scouts. He is so excited! Now he is a Bear and so his dad is his leader now. When they turn 9 they become a Bear as long as they have worked hard to earn it. Here are some pictures of last night.

Dillon and his dad!

When a scout earns their wolf badge, the scout puts a pin on their mom. So I got a pin of a wolf. It's an exciting moment for a mom for all our hard work in helping our kids.

Look what my wonderful and talented husband made me!!! A home schooling cabinet to match our bedroom set. I love it. No he didn't make our bedroom set, we bought that 3 years ago but you can't even tell that my new home schooling cabinet wasn't part of the bedroom set. Thanks Honey, I love it!
